This Break in Blogging…

I’m happy to report that last wednesday was my last day at my old job. I’m getting ready to start my new job at the end of the week (long story) and in the interim I really needed to take a giant break.
I had a few things I definitely wanted to get done, such as upgrading my home system and network (done, for the most part) and few items around the apartment (in the works). I also want to get a few things done in blogosphere… move this blog over to my server and run it off of WordPress and maybe one of my other racing related projects.
Since it’s raining here in NYC and it hasn’t even broken 60 degrees, I will now turn my attention to tinkering with WordPress. It’s a nice platform, I use it for one of my other (much more neglected) blogs. With my current hosting provider (who I highly recommend), WordPress is a one-click install & config… really, really easy.
Another note about the weather… this week last year I took vacation as well and went to Fire Island. It was the same damn weather! Is the end of August the new fall?
